History:
The ATR 72-500 is part of the ATR 72 family of aircraft, which was developed by Aerei da Trasporto Regionale (ATR), a joint project of Italy's Aeritalia and France's Aérospatiale.
The ATR 72-500 was launched in 1997 as an upgraded version of the original ATR 72.
The ATR 72-500, registered HS-PGA, was added to Bangkok Airways' fleet in 2003.
